Senior Account Executive

As Senior Account Executive, you carry own sales quota within the regional sales team and are solely responsible for meeting or exceeding them.

Based on your quota you set objectives and plan accordingly to achieve targets. You identify and qualify new regional sales opportunities and effectively run a sales cycle. In close collaboration with demand generation specialists and pre-sales experts you prepare RFPs, deep dives, pitches and POCs. Ultimately, you close strategic and complex 1+ million deals.

As Senior Account Executive you set/negotiate product/service terms or contracts. You plan own territory or account approach and manage own resources.

Role Competencies

Knowledge and application :

  • Proven record in meeting sales targets;
  • Demonstrated success in managing executive relationships with partners and customers;
  • Deep understanding of business, financials and Backbase products and services;
  • Deep understanding of FinTech market and clients' needs;
  • Deep understanding of business, financials, products/services, the market and the needs of assigned accounts.

Complexity and problem solving :

  • Able to work in large domestic and/or large multi-country territory and with complex accounts, products and services as well as sales or account management processes;
  • You develop active partner relationships in your region that result in net new software business.

Collaboration and interaction:

  • You facilitate partner and Backbase sales team alignment, target account nomination and opportunity planning to drive joint license (Backbase) and service (partner) wins;
  • On a day-to-day basis, you are primarily involved in direct contact with customers to acquire new business and develop existing accounts and participates in sales presentations, develop bids and respond to proposals;
  • As an expert in your area, you may serve as a team lead and mentor junior team member (BDMs).

Who you are

  • 8-10 years hunter-sales experience;
  • Preferably Master's degree in a business related field;
  • Knowledge of English and local languages, written and spoken.
