The Business Analyst is part of the Services team. Services team members are highly motivated specialists with specific skills and experience that ensure the smooth implementation of our product at our customer’s location.
Our Services consultants work closely with partners and customers all over the world. They have the professional and personal skills required to develop, teach, support, and lead teams towards successfully delivering our enterprise solution and achieving their goals.
As part of the larger Services team you will report directly to the Chapter Lead of the Services ASIA Hub.
What you'll do
As a Business Analyst at Backbase you work closely with our customers and the Backbase UX design, Solution Architect and Development team.
This is a crucial role within the Backbase Services team, because you are in the driver seat to help our customers realize their customer experience vision.
The job comes with great responsibility and offers the opportunity to work side by side with our customers worldwide and guide them to successful implementations with the Backbase product.
The Business Analyst is expected to:
- Gather define and prioritize requirements of the project in close collaboration with the clients;
- Run requirements definition workshops to help define customer’s Business requirements and business processes;
- Write functional requirements using use case specifications or user stories;
- Perform business process gap analysis and manage requirement change;
- Act as "product owner" for the project to guide the team making the right choices to maximize project & customer success;
- Act as a trusted consultant to our clients and implementation partners.

You need to be an excellent communicator and feel comfortable interacting with stakeholders at various levels. Organizational and cultural sensitivity are a must.
Skills & knowledge:
Essential:
- University education and degree (preferable business or IT related);

- You have an University education and degree (preferable business or IT related);
- You have a minimum of 3 years experience in a business analysis role preferably in digital banking or other digital solutions;
- You have a passion to work in a client-facing role and are comfortable with facilitating workshops;
- You have experience in requirements management and/or process modeling;
- You have experience in ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ modeling, and gap analysis;
- You have knowledge on one or more development methodologies, e.g. SCRUM, RUP, Kanban, Waterfall;
- You have an excellent written and verbal skills in English;
- You have perseverance and pragmatism to solve complex problems;
- You have the ability to work under pressure;
- You have the ability to work in a multicultural and international environment.
Minimum years of experience required
- Medior BA 3 to 5 years;
- Senior BA 6 and above.
Desirable:
- You have experience in Financial Services industry;
- You have experience with Digital Banking or other Digital Channel Solutions;
- You have experience in requirement management tools;
- You have experience in project management tools;
